For Dreamers Gallery was opened on June 17, 2005. The goal of the shop was to provide a venue for American made artisans. The owner, Joyce Breasure-Herrick had traveled for her previous careers and had always frequented the quaint shops when she visited other towns and cities. “I was always upset to have only one American Craft Preferred Gallery in the capital of Delaware.”

So after her retirement, she opened a place for fine handcrafted jewelry, pottery, glass, pewter and much more.  For Dreamers specializes in unusual gifts for a reasonable price. Close to home but far from ordinary and proudly made 100% made in the United States!
Over 40 potters - pottery that is decorative but dishwasher and microwave safe.
Over 40 jewelry makers - from recycled copper to porcelain, from gold and silver. Four local jewelers (including Isabella Designs). Over a half dozen dichroic glass artisans.
Dozens of glass makers- hand-blown and fused.
Pewter, wood, hand-made soaps, lotion, candles, paper, walnut resin, gift baskets, purses,  silk scarves, and gourmet food items.
 
Baxter is the meeter and greeter. He is a 10 year poodle who doesn’t like to have the “D” word used is reference to him. He prefers to think of himself as your personal shopper.

Joyce Breasure-Herrick retired from 28 years of teaching at a the university level, from 30 years of a private practice in mental health counseling and gerontology, and from 30 years of  leadership/executive roles in non-profits corporations. She has always personally collected fine crafted artisan pieces. She is pleased to bring to Dover, Delaware over 180 artisans from 40 states.
